Tate Technology - Plated-Through-Hole Assembly

Tate regularly assembles boards requiring plated-through-hole (PTH) components. We've been doing it since our beginning, over ten years ago. Whether your board requires hand or semi-automated component placement, Tate offers the expertise and equipment to handle the job.

Each new board undergoes close visual inspection for solder joint quality and proper component installation. Boards failing this inspection are immediately sent over to our rework stations for immediate repair or replacement.Plated Through Hole Assembly

    Our PTH capabilities include:
  • Component hand-placement
  • Light-assisted semi-auto insertion
  • Flex circuit assembly
  • PEMS and Standoffs
  • Conformal coating
  • No clean soldering

SMT Conversion and Off-Shore Sourcing
Both are high water marks on your success barometer. When your production needs start leaning towards requiring either — you're growing. You will want experience in your corner. Growth makes for hectic times and having enough product at the right place and time and in the right quantity you will want at the bottom of the stress pile.

SMT conversions always start with the decision of when to convert? Tate advises clients and begins planning for it long before the conversion becomes necessary. Tate offers tremendous buying power when it comes to bare printed circuit boards and can help you find the best sources for all needed parts.

Off-shore sourcing is a huge step. The coordination of issues such as source qualification, inventory, schedules, and labeling — between the client, the new source and the old source — can be daunting. Through an impressive list of off-shore manufacturers in the Far East, Mexico, and the United States, Tate establishes the proper timing to both offload production and then later reload production back as the product's life cycle ramps back down. Again — everything turnkey.
